Invisalign

How does Invisalign work?

Invisalign uses a series of clear and removable aligners that are virtually invisible. These aligners are made with 3-D computer imaging technology. Most orthodontists in the US and Canada are certified to treat with Invisalign. Not only are the aligners invisible, they are removable, so you can eat and drink what you want while in treatment. Plus, brushing and flossing are no problem. They are also comfortable, with no metal to cause mouth abrasions during treatment.

If you are a suitable candidate for Invisalign® treatment we will take impressions of your teeth and send these along with photos of your teeth to Invisalign. Drs Taylor and Shamloo will also send a detailed treatment plan to Invisalign in order to create your ideal smile. Your aligners are custom made just for you with advanced 3-D computerized technology.

Each set of aligners is designed to gently move your teeth little by little, in the way determined by the treatment plan, in order to create the smile you've always wanted. In order to move your teeth to the ideal positions, small tooth colored buttons (also known as attachments) will be bonded to some of your teeth. You wear each aligner for approximately a two-week period, allowing your teeth to gradually move into the correct position. The total treatment length varies, depending on the severity of your case.
