Interproximal Reduction (Interproximal Disking)

Removal of a small amount of enamel (typically 0.1 to 0.4mm) between the teeth to create room to straighten teeth or to correct the bite. Enamel is typically approximately 2 mm thick on teeth and removal of a small amount of this enamel will not weaken the tooth, make it prone to cavities or make it look too small.
